PERFECT FOR: Anyone measuring themselves against some finished, "arrived" version of success instead of noticing the movement they're already in.

Development is the reps. Evolving is the shedding. Growth is simply proof you're still moving.

Growth is the broad, ongoing expansion of who you are and what you're capable of; the overarching direction that every deliberate rep of development and every uncomfortable act of evolving eventually feed into.

It's easy to measure yourself against a finished, arrived version of who you're supposed to become and feel like you're constantly falling short of it. But growth was never meant to be measured against some final destination. It's measured against where you started. Uneven, non-linear, sometimes invisible in the moment and only obvious in hindsight, that's not growth going wrong. That's just what growth actually looks like.

You don't need dramatic transformation to be growing. You need to be, even slightly, more than you were.

In practice, tending to growth looks like:

Noticing where you're expanding, even in small, unglamorous ways. Measuring against your past self, not an arbitrary finish line. Allowing growth to be uneven instead of expecting a straight line. Trusting compounding effort over the need for instant transformation.

TL;DR: You don't have to have arrived anywhere. You just have to still be moving.

An Affirmation For You.

I don't need to have arrived. I just need to be moving.
